Barbershop. The first film in the series, this one and its sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, are the only ones actually shot in Chicago. Both are filled with great South Side locations and neighborhoods, though much of what you will see in the film is the barbershop set.

Principal photography began in Atlanta in May 2015 with some aerial shots filmed in Chicago. Barbershop: The Next Cut was released on April 15, 2016 by Warner Bros. Pictures. It received positive reviews from critics, with praise directed at the performances of the cast, Lee's direction, and the screenplay.

Anna Brown as Jen Palmer. Jen is a homemaker, and has studied hotel management in community college. She and her husband Calvin have a son, Cody.

He also has a romantic storyline with another title character named Terri (Eve). But in the third film, this character no longer existed. There was no clear explanation for his departure from the films. According to sources, Ealy decided to leave the franchise to pursue different roles.
